  • This one goes out to all the local local folks. 2 yrs ago I moved myself and my studio to Maynard, MA and some version of this illustration has been growing in my brain ever since.

There is so much to love about this little old mill town by the river. The hometown pride is huge and folks are friendly and welcoming. The downtown is dotted with lovely local shops - I’ve been going to the institution that is the Maynard Outdoor store since I was a kid - and a growing contingent of delicious restaurants. There is a thriving arts community here and a bustling bike path winding through town. The Assabet River and wildlife refuge are beautiful spots for a kayak paddle or walk through the woods. Erikson's Ice Cream has always been a fav and it was just voted best ice cream in MA last year. I love looking out my Nason St. studio window to the clock tower and hearing its historic bell ring on the hour, catching up with the ladies running our post office, waiving to neighbors around town, and walking into coffee shops that know my order. I feel the luckiest to call this place home.
